How do I calculate what I need on my final?
Quick mode uses your current average excluding the final, the final exam weight and your target course grade.
For example, with a current grade of 68, a 40% final and a target of 70, you need about 73 on the final.
When should I use detailed mode?
Use detailed mode when exams, projects, quizzes or assignments have different weights. The calculator verifies that total weight is 100% and solves the remaining final requirement.
Interpret the result correctly
- If the required score is above 100, the target is mathematically unreachable on a standard 0–100 final scale with the current weights.
- If the required score is 0 or below, the target grade is already mathematically secured even with a zero on the final.
- The result does not include school-specific minimum-final rules, curves or grading policies.
