How is trip fuel cost calculated?
First, total trip distance is calculated. Round trip doubles the one-way distance and any extra-route percentage is added. Total distance is then multiplied by the effective L/100 km consumption and divided by 100 to estimate liters of fuel.
Fuel liters are multiplied by the entered price per liter. Optional toll, parking or other trip costs are then added. If multiple people share the cost, the total is divided by that number. The Β±10% table is a sensitivity check, not a fuel-price forecast.
Frequently Asked Questions
How is fuel cost calculated?
Total distance is multiplied by the effective fuel consumption in L/100 km and divided by 100 to estimate liters used. Liters are then multiplied by the fuel price.
How is a round trip calculated?
When round trip is selected, the one-way distance is doubled. Any extra-route percentage is then applied to that combined distance.
What does the consumption adjustment do?
It increases or decreases the entered L/100 km value by your chosen percentage. Leave it blank or at zero when the entered consumption already reflects your expected real-world usage.
How is per-person trip cost calculated?
Fuel cost and optional extra trip costs are added together, then divided by the number of people sharing the cost.
Does changing currency convert fuel prices?
No. Currency selection changes the display unit and formatting only; it does not perform exchange-rate conversion.
