Calculate Business Days

Choose a mode first. When a country calendar is enabled, the calculator automatically excludes only national Public/Bank holidays.

Example: 01.09.2026
Example: 30.09.2026
If both dates are the same, “include both” can return 1 when that date is a business day.

Work calendar

Default: Saturday + Sunday. Change the days for different workweek patterns.
Uses national Public/Bank holidays for 200+ countries supported by Nager.Holidays; regional/state holidays are not automatically excluded. Türkiye uses a built-in 2024–2033 calendar.
Use this for company holidays, regional closures, or school breaks if they matter to your case.
Choose a country to exclude national public/bank holidays, or calculate with weekends and custom dates only.
School breaks: They are not treated as business holidays by default because schools closing does not mean businesses are closed. Add relevant dates as custom non-working days if needed.

How are business days calculated?

The calculator starts with the dates included by your selected counting rule, then removes weekly non-working days and, when enabled, national public/bank holidays. You can also add custom non-working dates for company closures or local schedules.

Business Days = Included Calendar Days − Weekly Days Off − Public Holidays − Custom Non-working Dates

What date is 30 business days from today?

Use the “Add / Subtract Business Days” mode. Enter a base date, number of workdays, and direction. The base date itself is not counted; counting begins with the next or previous eligible business day.

How are country holidays and school breaks handled?

For Türkiye, the calculator uses a built-in 2024–2033 full-day official holiday calendar based on Diyanet’s published schedules under Law No. 2429; for 200+ other countries supported by Nager.Holidays, it loads national Public/Bank holidays within the Community API’s current-year-through-five-years-ahead window. Regional/state holidays and school breaks are not automatically excluded because they do not always represent a business closure. Add applicable full-day closures as custom non-working dates. Half-days, such as holiday eves and the afternoon of October 28 in Türkiye, are not modeled as 0.5 business days in this full-day counter.

Türkiye 2024–2033 official holidays: Diyanet official holiday schedules. Holiday data for other selected countries: Nager.Holidays API. For payroll, legal deadlines, settlements, or other official use, verify the relevant authority or employer calendar.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I calculate business days between two dates?

Enter the start and end dates, choose how endpoints are counted, then set your workweek and holiday rules. The calculator removes weekly days off, selected public holidays, and custom dates.

Are public holidays excluded automatically?

Yes. For Türkiye, full-day official holidays for 2024–2033 come from the built-in Diyanet-based calendar; for 200+ other countries supported by Nager.Holidays, national Public/Bank holidays are available within the Community API’s current-year-through-five-years-ahead window. If reliable holiday data is unavailable, the calculator tells you instead of silently treating those dates as workdays.

Are school holidays counted as non-working days?

No. School breaks are not general business closures. Add specific school-break dates as custom non-working dates only when they are relevant to your calculation.

Can I change the weekend days?

Yes. Each weekday can be marked as a regular non-working day, allowing the tool to support different workweek patterns.
